MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY

Shadow Spoons started unknowingly 10 years ago while learning primitive skills in the beautiful Upper peninsula of Michigan.  Spoon carving gave me a sense of accomplishment, pride, and a healthy dose of quiet nature time.  In a world profiting off of cheap labor, reliant on rapid growth, and designed to enrich billionaires, carving wooden spoons by hand was the right speed and the right amount of balance I wanted to bring to the world.  With an emphasis on simple and slow every piece of timber I use is reclaimed and recycled to make a durable and beautiful product meant for every day use.  I use an assortment of axe and knife to bring you a one of a kind addition to your kitchen.
